We each come to a crossroads in our lives where we have to choose a direction. You either go back doing what you know or you follow the magic in your heart. These were the questions running through my mind at this point when I took this photograph.
What if I am rejected, what if ‘ they ‘ don’t find what I have to share meaningful, what if ‘they see’ I am hopelessly in love with Nature, devoted to the little creatures and to the light that falls on everything.
What if ‘they’ find out that this is how I have been my entire life but had to hide because I had to get through a school system that shut that part of me down. Also being born into a world where marriage and having children meant you were an adult and being Creative, free spirited meant you were different and an outcast.
What will happen when I invite people to learn how to be receptive to light or what that even means? Will they embrace it in their lives and in their photography? What if I tell people that learning to see this within themselves is magical and life changing. Will they reject me?
Here I stand on the precipice of choosing; do I go back to what I know or do I follow my heart into the light as in this photograph. My dog Grace by my side.
Shedding the old me, letting go and surrendering to the flow of life. Leaving behind a past that is so limiting, with many restrictions and rules.
I found this view a few days ago. I had walked past it hundreds of times but never quite saw it the way I did this day.
My purpose is to show the world that Nature is remarkable and learning how to capture it in a split second is magical ! I truly believe that if everyone learnt this skill we would have a more peaceful world. We look but we don’t really ‘see’.
The two paths in this image is my subconscious mind beckoning me to choose – the old way or the new way !
