We all need to stop and stare

Some days, I just need to turn my back on the world, and all those close to me. Do you know that feeling too?

I just needed time to clear my head. Hear my own thoughts and focus on MY BREATH and not everyone else’s.

It’s not that I don’t love those around me, my life, what I do. It’s about making time to connect to source, centering myself and allowing my batteries to recharge.

Its incredible how we humans can speak unnecessarily. We seem to hate silence and we try to fill every gap with words. I find it exhausting. How about you?

Often, I ask myself, did I need to know that ? What can I do about it ? My favorite (NOT) is when I am walking quietly in Nature with someone and they begin the sentence with ‘ when I went to….’ OH Gosh my brain switches off! But we are here now. Here and now !

Let’s stay in this moment, walking in THIS garden. Am I the only one who thinks like this?

I suppose its sharing… I am not a small talk kind of person. Everyone thinks I’m social because I’m a teacher and do a lot of social gatherings. I’m a recluse actually.

I took myself off to Addo Elephant Park in the Eastern Cape last week. Yes, by myself. I can sit by a waterhole for hours. Cars rush up to see what I’m looking at. In fact I am not looking at anything.

I’m just sitting staring, soaking it all up. Looking at the light, watching the birds. The insects, the geese etc. Just sitting…

I encourage you to take time to simply sit and stare
